DNA Guitars and Custom Paint
Our Services
Thank you for choosing DNA Guitars and Custom Paint. We offer a little more than just a custom paint job or custom design, so it's our duty to provide our customers with a clear understanding of what we do and what they will receive. Above on the top of the page there is a tab that says, "Paint & Options". When you click on that tab you will have the ability to choose a solid color, pearls, metallics, metal flake, candy colors, hydro-dipping and many others. If there is a color or design you want that is not listed, please do not hesitate to call or email us with details and pictures and our team will get back to you with a custom quote. Also, we offer simply adding a new clearcoat finish to existing paint. We do offer fabric finishes but they are inquiry only. If you have an idea for a fabric finish, then contact us and we will provide you with a quote and then we will move forward with the process.
In addition, your guitar must be disassembled before we can begin. We do not want our customers to miss out so, if you do not want to disassemble your guitar no matter if it's an electric guitar, acoustic or bass guitar, we offer those services as well at an additional cost. Below is a list of our services. Once again, if there are any services not listed below, please do not hesitate to call or email us with questions.
- All of our services are offered on acoustic guitars, electric guitars and bass guitars. We take all types. Bolt-on neck, set neck, body by itself, neck by itself.
- We offer services for disassembly & reassembly of your guitar at an additional charge.
- New Strings with Professional setup in any tuning of your choice. Charges do apply.
- Multiple types of paints and finishes available. Solid colors, metallics, metal flake/sparkle, pearls, candies, color-shifting, holographic.
- Fabric finishes. After fabric is applied, we give it a nice durable finish. Fabrics can be mailed to us when you send us your guitar or if you supply pictures, we can supply the fabric as well depending on availability. Fabric Finishes are a case-by-case basis. Contact us with your idea, we will give you a quote and then we can move forward with the process.
- Hydro-dip designs. You pick the colors and we bring the design to life. When hydro-dipping with paints, we don't have a lot of control over how the design falls but that's the beauty of it! It's one-of-a-kind! These designs are inquiry only. Contact us with your idea, we will give you a quote and then we can move forward with the process.
- Transtint Dye/Liquid Stain. This product is a liquid stain that is transparent which means you can see the wood grain underneath. Inquiry only.
- Any product, design or service you choose can be applied to any part of the guitar of your choosing.
Our Process
At DNA Guitars and Custom Paint, we believe that every guitar deserves a unique identity. We have learned over the years that no two guitars are the same which makes them unique in their own way. Our passion for what we do ensures each guitar reflects the personality of its owner, making your instrument truly one-of-a-kind. Our goal is that when your guitar arrives back to you, it arrives back with a new look and with a durable finish that will last for years to come. A finish that will make you want to set aside time out of your day to pick it up and play. Each step in our process is done thoroughly and with care. Anytime you have questions or just want to reach out and see how it's going or where we are at in the process, feel free to do so. We'd be more than happy to assist. Some customers ask about what types of products we use so here's a summary of our products. We use polyesters, urethanes and in some cases we have used acrylics.
